Reconstruction
Reconstruction in Round Rock and the Austin area, once the damage is gone.
When water, fire, or mold damage occurs, not only do we handle the mitigation, we also complete the reconstruction in its entirety. One company, one plan.
What we rebuild
We replace everything we remove.
We will remove only the damaged materials that cannot be saved and we replace everything we remove, including:
- Drywall and insulation (flood cuts or full walls)
- Texture, paint, and ceilings as needed
- Baseboards, trim, doors, casing, etc.
- Carpet, tile, laminate, vinyl plank, hardwood flooring, etc.
- Cabinets, vanities, countertops, etc.
- Framing and subfloor repairs (fire damage or long-term leaks)
How it works
A written scope, a schedule, and a walkthrough.
-
Scope and estimate.
Once the structure is dried out we will provide you with a detailed scope of work and estimate to return your structure to its original condition. This list will itemize all the work that will be needed to reconstruct the damaged area and will match what the insurance adjuster is looking for.
-
Schedule.
Once we have a start date, we will provide you with a schedule of when we can have everything completed, including any lead times on certain materials.
-
Rebuild and finish.
Our reconstruction crew will complete all the work in a specific order from framing to drywall, texture, painting, floors, trim, fixtures, etc. We will clean up every day and get your home back to looking brand new.
-
Final walkthrough.
Once the work is complete we will walk through the job with you and make any changes that may be needed.
Why one company
No gap. No finger-pointing.
When you use another company to dry out your home and somebody else does the reconstruction, you run a risk. The second crew may not know exactly what the first company did, or the first company may not be available to answer questions. This usually leads to a lot of finger pointing when questions arise with the insurance company and the scope of work.
When you use Guardian for both the mitigation and reconstruction, you get a seamless transition. The crew that opened up your walls due to water, fire, or mold damage will be the crew that closes them up. There is no place for finger pointing when something is missed because there is no one else to point at but us. We prefer to take full responsibility for your entire job from start to finish, and we believe you will too.
The finish
What done looks like.
New drywall, taped, floated, textured to match, new baseboards, new floors, painted. The room goes back to being a room.

Do I have to use you for the reconstruction?
You can use whomever you want for the reconstruction of your home. However, most of our customers prefer to keep the job in-house with us because our crew that dried out your home will be the same one to close it up. This makes for a seamless transition for you and your insurance company and allows us to give you the best possible customer service.
How long will the reconstruction take?
It depends on the amount of work that is needed. If it is a simple flood cut and repaint in one room, this could be done in a matter of days. If you need flooring put down on the entire first floor, or cabinets, or have fire damage in multiple rooms, etc., it will take longer. There are also lead times on certain materials. We will give you a written schedule before we start the job so you will know when everything will be completed.
Can you match my existing finishes?
Most likely, yes. We do our best to match the paint, texture, trim, and flooring you currently have in your home. If we are unable to do so, we will let you know ahead of time so you can decide how to handle it.
